Wildwoman Creations is introducing "Artist Spotlight" Space available downstairs to demonstrate-display and sell your art/craft/passion on Saturdays anytime during the hours of 10am to 5pm. This is going to be an ongoing event at the gallery and we are taking reservations for the rest of the year and 2010. I want to fill up every Saturday with an exciting Artist/crafter. Artist Statement

My faerie houses are made from natural materials gathered on long hikes in the woods of the Pacific Northwest and recycled odds and ends picked up in the many thrift shops throughout Portland, OR. I’m also very interested in the creative re-use of materials.

I was inspired by two other artists who generously gave of their time and technique which I have adapted and blended with my own, to create these unique faerie houses.

The process of gathering materials has taught me a huge lesson in abundance and shifted my mindset and attitudes in countless ways. Here in Oregon, we are blessed to be surrounded by nature. I hope my faerie houses will act as a reminder of this and bring as much joy to others as I receive during the creative process.

Additional information about me


I’m originally from Minneapolis and moved to Portland in Oct. 2001. I have a degree in graphic arts and a life long love of collage. My faerie house creations are like a 3D collage and I think I’ve found the perfect medium to work in! And yes, I believe in Faeries!

Chainmaille is a lost ancient art that my wife and I enjoy making together. MBOI is a sister site to Makin’
The Best Of It which originally started with Hand Painted Glass but has grown due to our severe
addiction to creating in general.

MBOI is made up of my wife Kimberly ( The President, CEO, Controller, Painter, Mailler, and Creative
Superpower) who is currently in the process of finishing her teacher degree, and Andrew ( Stock boy
and Mailler ) who is a Senior Estimator for a Heavy Construction Company which is based in New Jersey.
We have 2 boys who keep us running all the time.
We currently reside in Point Pleasant, NJ which is a small beach town on the Jersey Shore.

When creating our chainmaille jewelry and various items we start with raw wire and coil and saw cut our
own rings.
We work in various metals also, so if you see something you like but would rather have it in a different
metal just let us know. We work in sterling silver, copper, bronze, anodized aluminum, enameled copper,
and bright aluminum.
Custom orders are always encouraged, if you have an idea of something special you would like to have
made just Contact Us and we’ll work out the details.
